Gila River Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Water flow on the Gila as of this past Monday was 105cfs. We had no reports from anglers.
Elephant Butte Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Fishing was slow-to-fair using crank baits, spoons and minnows for white bass and a few walleye. Fishing was fair using senkos, jigs, worms and chigger craws for black bass. Most of the bass were in less than 10 feet of water. Fishing for all other species was slow.

Fishing continued to be slow for all species. The water was quite murky.

Trout fishing was fair-to-good using spoons, salmon eggs and power bait. A few largemouth bass were taken by anglers using jigs and spinner baits.
San Juan River Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Water flow below Navajo Lake as of Monday morning was 499cfs. Trout fishing through the Quality Waters was fair-to-good using wooly buggers, San Juan worms, leeches, egg patterns, parachute adams, dead chickens and small hair jigs. Fishing through the bait waters was good using salmon eggs, power bait, worms, jigs and jerk baits.
Navajo Lake Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Fishing was slow-to-fair using jerk baits, deep diving crank baits and slow rolled spinner baits for northern pike. The best reports came from anglers fishing the main lake and the San Juan arm. A few smallmouth bass were taken on worms and jigs fished at 16-to-25 feet. A few trout were taken by anglers trolling jointed Rapalas on the main lake. We had no reports on other species.
Jemez River Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Water flow on the Jemez as of Monday morning was 80cfs near Jemez Springs. Trout fishing on the Cebolla and the lower Jemez was fair using worms, salmon eggs and small bead head nymphs. We had no reports on other streams.
