Rio Ruidoso Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Water flow at Hollywood on Monday was 7.2cfs. Trout fishing was slow.
Santa Rosa Lake Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Fishing was slow but there were a few bass and walleye caught over the past weekend. Best baits were night crawlers, chigger craws, sweet beavers, jigs and crank baits. We had no reports on other species.
Fenton Lake Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
As of Monday the lake was still closed to fishing but the park was open to other activities. For updated ice conditions, contact the park office at 575-829-3630.
Conchas Lake Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Fishing was slow but there were a few bass and catfish caught this past week. Best baits for the bass were senkos, jigs and worms. Anglers fishing for catfish did best using worms and minnows.
Eagle Nest Lake Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Due to deteriorating ice conditions the lake is closed to fishing at present. For updated conditions call the park office at 575-377-1594.
McAllister Lake Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Closed due to high golden algae content.
Pecos River Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Trout fishing was slow-to-fair using salmon eggs, worms and small bead head nymphs.
Red River Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Water flow below the hatchery was 58cfs. Trout fishing was fair using salmon eggs and copper john barrs.
Rio Grande Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
The water flow Monday morning at the Taos Junction Bridge was 703cfs. Fishing was slow and the water was starting to get a bit murky from the runoff.
Storrie Lake Fly Fishing Report 03/03/2009
Trout fishing was slow-to-fair using salmon eggs and power bait.
